"I lift my eyes upon the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord the Maker of Heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved, He who keeps you will not slumber, behold, He does not slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper, He is the shade at your right hand. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore." Psalm 121
Why It's Important Us: These verses are important to us because they help us focus on how protected we are.He is so omnipotent that the smallest thing on this earth can't even blink without Him knowing. It's humbling to realize, that even though we might be so unworthy of even a second glance from Him, that He is watching us every instant, and He's protecting His children. It's also a reality check, sometimes we think that Iwe can get away with this or that because no one else is around, but He's there. He's always there, and He always will be. It's an honor to be called a child of Him, of someone so all-powerful that he could blink and the universe could be destroyed. It's humbling, and that's why this verse is important.
